A judge has charged the alleged leader of a Barcelona paedophile ring. The man used his Raval flat to rape four minors and secretly record sexual acts with three others, according to court documents.

The charges include sexual assault on persons under 16. Additionally, he faces charges of inducing prostitution and creating and distributing child pornography. The accused (identified as T.L.) allegedly shared the recorded material through internet chats and apps.
Court papers detail repeated sexual relations with two of the victims. With two others, he had single encounters involving oral and anal penetration.
The fourth victim was 15 years old. That case was particularly degrading, involving a sadomasochistic setting. The accused recorded the encounter without the minor’s knowledge.
Meanwhile, a second man (F.M.A.E.O.) has also been charged. Police reports place him at multiple sexual assaults that the ring leader recorded.
Four other suspects have been provisionally excluded from the case. They participated in paedophile-related conversations with the leader. However, investigators haven’t found evidence linking them to specific assaults.
This is actually the third case against the main suspect. In the first, prosecutors are seeking 107 years in prison for six sexual assault charges.
A second investigation is ongoing. It examines other men the leader invited to his flat for sex with children. That case awaits Mossos d’Esquadra’s analysis of two mobile phones.
The Raval case highlights serious concerns about organised child abuse in Barcelona. Authorities continue investigating the extent of the network.
