Renfe has deployed 90 information staff to help passengers dealing with the R3 Rodalies line closure starting Tuesday. The service between Montcada Bifurcació and La Garriga will be suspended whilst Adif doubles the track between Parets del Vallès and La Garriga and remodels Montcada Bifurcació station.

Replacement buses will cover the affected routes, Renfe announced on Saturday. Large posters and digital signage have been installed at affected stations, information has been added to train screens, and announcements are playing through loudspeakers on trains and at stations.
During the first phase of works until May 2026, the replacement bus service includes buses between Barcelona (from Fabra i Puig station) and Granollers Canovelles every 20 minutes with intermediate stops. Other routes run from Fabra i Puig to Centelles every 30 minutes with intermediate stops, direct buses between Barcelona and Centelles every 30 minutes, Barcelona to Vic every 15 minutes, and Barcelona to La Garriga hourly.
Transfer points to the buses have already been signposted at affected stations so passengers can switch quickly.
