Police are investigating a coordinated series of Sant Andreu de la Barca ram-raids at an industrial estate after thieves targeted four separate warehouses in a single night. The incidents occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 8 February, on Carrer Isaac Peral. According to preliminary reports, the perpetrators utilised a method known as ram-raiding (or alunizaje), using a vehicle to smash through the reinforced doors of the industrial units.

Fast escape foils police response

The aggressive entry method allowed the group to gain rapid access to the facilities. Consequently, they seized goods and fled the scene before authorities could intervene. An alarm system at one of the affected properties triggered at approximately 04:00, alerting the Mossos d’Esquadra.

Despite a swift response from patrol units, the thieves had already escaped by the time officers arrived. Police found the entrances to four warehouses destroyed by the impact of the vehicle. However, no trace of the suspects remained.

Sant Andreu de la Barca ram-raids investigation stalled

While the Mossos d’Esquadra have been notified of the events, the investigation faces a temporary hurdle. Police sources confirm that the owners of the targeted businesses have not yet filed formal complaints.

It is understood that the affected companies are currently conducting detailed inventories. Therefore, they must determine exactly what stock was stolen and calculate the financial cost of the structural damage. Without these formal denunciations detailing the losses, the police investigation remains technically stalled.

Currently, authorities have not identified any suspects linked to the Sunday morning raid. Meanwhile, official crime statistics show that one in four residents in the Barcelona metropolitan area was a victim of crime in 2024.
