Barcelona’s premier logistics and supply chain event is set for a landmark year. Organisers confirm that 80% of its exhibition space is already booked, three months ahead of its opening. The International Logistics Exhibition (SIL Barcelona) will be a major hub for global trade from 3 to 5 June at the Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc venue.

Organised by the public consortium Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), the event is a leading global fair for logistics, transport, intralogistics, and supply chain management. These strong pre-event sales signal robust health and optimism in an industry facing significant global pressures in recent years.
On Wednesday, the CZFB confirmed the high occupancy rate, first reported by 20 Minutos. The event will bring together the entire logistics value chain at the historic fairgrounds. This site is poised for a major revamp ahead of its 2029 centenary and regularly hosts other major events, such as the B-travel tourism fair.
A Global and Diverse Showcase
This year’s edition features a significant international presence, with 30% of confirmed exhibitors coming from outside Spain. Companies from Germany, Argentina, Chile, China, the United Arab Emirates, Slovakia, the United States, and Mexico are among those already signed up. This reinforces Barcelona’s role as a Mediterranean logistics crossroads.
The exhibitor composition highlights key industry trends. Transport, logistics, and distribution companies represent the largest group (32%), followed by intralogistics and storage specialists (25%), and a growing contingent of technology and IT firms (14%). Furthermore, infrastructure and real estate logistics (immologistics) companies account for another 14% and 9% respectively.
Organisers note a particular increase in participation from companies offering sustainable rail freight solutions, warehouse automation systems, and specialised cold chain logistics for the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries.
“SIL Barcelona returns once again with its batteries charged, ready to be the meeting and networking point for the entire logistics sector,” said Pere Navarro, executive president of the CZFB and president of SIL. “The fair is preparing to reassert itself as the benchmark showcase for the latest innovations applied to the logistics chain and as a forum to discuss how the global context is affecting the supply chain and international trade.”
Innovation and New Formats
To keep pace with a rapidly evolving industry, SIL 2026 will introduce several new features and formats. These are designed to foster debate and showcase cutting-edge technology.
Blanca Sorigué, Director General of both the CZFB and SIL, emphasised the event’s capacity for reinvention. She explained, “It will feature new spaces like the SIL Lab and the AI Corner, and new formats such as the Top Leader Interviews, workshops, and international sector conferences like the Spain Air Cargo Day and the International Logistics Summit.”
These additions aim to provide deeper insights into how artificial intelligence, automation, and data analytics impact modern supply chains. This offers attendees a more interactive and forward-looking experience.
The CZFB has opened online registration for attending professionals. Registration is free for all sector professionals who sign up before 22 May. Afterwards, the entrance fee will be €60.
