Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) will implement special shuttle bus services for Rosalía’s four upcoming concerts at Palau Sant Jordi in April. These dedicated buses will connect Plaça d’Espanya directly to the concert venue, aiming to ease transport for thousands of attendees. The services will operate on 13, 15, 17, and 18 April, coinciding with the highly anticipated performances.

Concert Transport Details

TMB announced that uphill services from Plaça d’Espanya to Palau Sant Jordi will run between 18:00 and 20:30. Concerts are scheduled to begin at 20:30 on all four dates. Downhill services, returning to Plaça d’Espanya, will commence from approximately 22:00. All standard integrated tariff system transport tickets will be valid on these special buses. Each shuttle will display “Pl.Espanya-Palau ST.Jordi” as its line indicator, ensuring clear identification for passengers.

Easing Access to Palau Sant Jordi

This initiative significantly benefits concert-goers travelling to Palau Sant Jordi, a major indoor sports arena and concert venue located on Montjuïc hill. The venue frequently hosts large-scale events, attracting thousands of visitors to Barcelona. Plaça d’Espanya serves as a crucial transport hub, offering connections to metro lines, FGC trains, and numerous bus routes. Providing direct shuttle services helps manage the increased demand for transport during these popular concerts.

Rosalía’s Barcelona Return

Rosalía, the Grammy Award-winning Catalan artist, returns to her home city for these four performances. Her concerts consistently draw massive crowds, highlighting the need for efficient public transport solutions. TMB’s provision of these shuttle buses underscores the city’s commitment to facilitating access to major cultural events for both residents and tourists. This measure helps reduce traffic congestion and parking challenges around the Montjuïc area.

Future Event Planning

The implementation of these dedicated services for Rosalía’s concerts sets a precedent for managing transport for future large-scale events at Palau Sant Jordi. TMB regularly adapts its services to meet specific demands, ensuring Barcelona’s public transport system remains responsive. This approach helps maintain smooth operations across the city, even during peak event periods.
