The Guardia Urbana has sealed an unlicensed music bar in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. Consequently, authorities imposed an eight-month closure order following a series of police operations.

The venue, identified as ‘Drink’, is located on Avenida de Severo Ochoa in the Pubilla Cases neighbourhood. Municipal sources confirmed that officials sealed the premises on 11 February. Therefore, the establishment will remain shuttered for the better part of a year due to a history of non-compliance.

Unlicensed music bar L’Hospitalet: Repeated infractions and safety concerns

Authorities took action after detecting repeated violations at the venue. The primary reason for the closure was the operation of a musical recreational business without the necessary licence. However, the police file lists several other serious breaches that contributed to the decision.

Officials cited “serious and repeated” harm to neighbourhood coexistence and security as key factors. Furthermore, inspectors found that previous seals placed on water pipes (hookahs) had been ignored or tampered with.

The ‘Nautilus Plan’ targets the unlicensed music bar L’Hospitalet

This enforcement action is part of the broader ‘Pla Nautilus’ (Nautilus Plan). This coordinated police offensive targets repeat offenders and involves the Guardia Urbana, the Mossos d’Esquadra, and various municipal departments handling sanctions, urban planning, and health.

The initiative targets establishments that consistently breach regulations. Meanwhile, it aims to restore order and reduce disturbances for local residents. This latest closure joins a list of several other venues in the city recently temporarily shut down for similar reasons.
