The Ajuntament de Barcelona strongly advises residents to plan their journeys in advance. Officials recommend utilising public transport whenever possible and avoiding the areas around Montjuïc and Plaça Espanya during the competition hours, as significant traffic impacts are expected. The Barcelona stage will run from 11:50 to 14:05, with both the start and finish located within Montjuïc Park.

Race Route and Road Closures

Vehicle circulation will be prohibited on all roads forming part of the race route. This includes a section of the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes. The neutralised start begins at 11:50 from Avinguda Reina Maria Cristina. Cyclists will proceed along Plaça Espanya (Llobregat side, contraflow) and the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes (sea side, contraflow). They will then access the central carriageway of Gran Via between Carrer Sant Germà and Carrer Mèxic, also in contraflow, before continuing along Gran Via, 191, in the Llobregat direction.

The competitive section of the race will commence from this point, leading the peloton out of Barcelona via the C-31. The cyclists are expected to re-enter Barcelona at approximately 12:39, arriving from L’Hospitalet de Llobregat via the C-31. The return route includes Plaça Cerdà (underpass), the central carriageway of Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes (sea side), and the lateral carriageway of Gran Via. They will then pass through Plaça Espanya (Llobregat-sea side) and Avinguda Reina Maria Cristina, before reaching Avinguda Rius i Taulet, where the challenging Montjuïc Park circuit begins.

Montjuïc Circuit Details

Once inside Montjuïc Park, cyclists will complete seven laps of a demanding circuit. This route encompasses Avinguda Rius i Taulet, Carrer Guàrdia Urbana, and Passeig de Santa Madrona. It continues along Avinguda de l’Estadi and Avinguda Miramar. The peloton will then ascend Carretera de Montjuïc and Plaça Sardana, travelling in the opposite direction to normal traffic flow. They will connect with Avinguda Castell and Passeig de Migdia. The circuit proceeds via Passeig Olímpic and Plaça Sant Jordi, before heading down Avinguda Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia and returning to Avinguda Rius i Taulet to complete each lap. The final stage is scheduled to conclude at 14:05.
