Sagrada Família raffle tickets are being offered to commemorate a significant architectural milestone.

The iconic Barcelona basilica is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its Bernabé tower – the only one Antoni Gaudí saw completed before his death – with a special lottery for 150 lucky winners.

The celebration marks November 30, 1925, when Gaudí witnessed the completion of this first tower among the eighteen he envisioned for his masterpiece.

The architect understood he wouldn’t live to see the temple finished, so he ensured the Bernabé tower’s completion to demonstrate the project’s grandeur and guide his successors.

Sagrada Família Raffle Offers Exclusive Access

Now, a century later, the Sagrada Família is opening its doors to fortunate visitors through this unique opportunity. Participants can enter the draw until November 23 at 9pm, with the winning tickets valid for a special visit on November 30 at 5:30pm.

Eligibility requires Spanish residency and being over 18, whether through national ID or foreign residence card. The organisers describe this as commemorating “a significant historical moment” while paying tribute to Gaudí’s fusion of “art, engineering and nature.”

Meanwhile, construction continues apace elsewhere in the temple. This year saw the placement of the penultimate piece of the Jesus Christ tower, which will eventually reach 172.5 metres – making it Barcelona’s tallest structure. Workers are now preparing to install the 17-metre cross, equivalent to a five-storey building.

The target remains completing the cross by 2026, coinciding with the centenary of Gaudí’s death. Additionally, construction continues on the Baptistery foundations and the Assumption chapel façade, while restoration work has begun on the Nativity façade – the other element Gaudí saw finished.

This celebration comes as Barcelona continues to enhance its cultural offerings through various urban improvements, including significant public space renovations across the city. The Sagrada Família raffle represents another chapter in Barcelona’s rich architectural heritage, connecting contemporary visitors with Gaudí’s original vision.
