The two men, aged 38 and 41, face charges including murder, violent robbery, drug trafficking and traffic offences following their arrest last weekend.
According to judicial sources speaking to laSexta, the court has ordered provisional detention without bail for both suspects. The case came to light when a man approached the National Police station in Alicante last Friday, reporting that two acquaintances had tried to involve him in disposing of a murder victim’s body.
Alicante Murder Investigation Reveals Disturbing Details
The witness told police the suspects had offered him money to help them dispose of the body. However, he refused their offer and immediately reported the matter to authorities. Police subsequently discovered the victim’s body in an apartment, though investigators believe the murder actually occurred during the first days of October.

Furthermore, officers found a knife in one room of the property, which may have been the murder weapon. The subsequent autopsy revealed clear signs of violence on the woman’s body, apparently caused by a bladed weapon. The victim was the 37-year-old partner of one of the detained men.
Police located the suspects as they attempted to flee the city in a vehicle. Consequently, officers arrested both men and discovered cash, gold jewellery and quantities of drugs exceeding personal use amounts in their possession. The investigation suggests financial motives may have played a role in the crime.
Additionally, the victim had recently inherited a substantial amount of money. Her partner, one of the detained suspects, had been using her bank card following her death. Meanwhile, authorities confirmed there were no previous gender violence complaints filed by the victim against her partner.
This Alicante murder case highlights ongoing concerns about domestic violence and crime in Spanish communities. The police response demonstrates how public cooperation can be crucial in solving serious crimes and bringing suspects to justice.
