Barcelona readers can expect the next Metropolitan Culture Corner interview to feature filmmaker, author and creative consultant Steve Balderson. It follows a recent segment with third-generation antique dealer Bea Castelló, owner of Las Pepitas Vintage.

Balderson is known for visually striking films that have screened at events including the Cannes Film Festival. IMDb lists him among the top 50 most influential gay and lesbian directors. He also works as an author, voice-over artist and host of the Filmmaking Confidential podcast.

His wider media work includes contributions to The Advocate and MovieMaker magazines. Barcelona Metropolitan says the interview will continue its focus on people shaping culture through film, publishing and creative work.

The previous Culture Corner feature highlighted Bea Castelló’s vintage textile business. Her stock includes vintage cloth, handmade laces, velvets and linens, with items dating from 1845 to the 1990s. She also supplies period clothing and home furnishings such as tablecloths and bed coverings.

Castelló sells and rents pieces to film and theatre production companies, as well as private customers. Her work has supported productions including Alcarràs, La Aranya and El Día de la Marmota. The interviews are available on Barcelona Metropolitan's YouTube channel and as free podcasts on SoundCloud.
