One hundred and twenty-five thousand people visited 94 cultural venues in Barcelona and its metropolitan area on Saturday evening for La Nit dels Museus (Museums Night). The event offered free entry from 19:00 to 01:00. This annual occasion saw a significant turnout, according to a statement from the Diputació de Barcelona (Barcelona Provincial Council).

Record Attendance Across City

The Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC) on Montjuïc mountain received the highest number of visitors, with 17,028 people attending. The Museu d'Història de Barcelona followed, attracting 12,914 guests. Other popular sites included the Museu de L'Hospitalet with 6,243 visitors and the Museu de Badalona with 5,985. The Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) welcomed 5,386 people.

New and Renovated Venues Highlighted

The event also featured several new spaces this year. These included the Gran Hotel Barcino, the Centre Cultural La Bòbila, and La Florida 6.0. Additionally, visitors explored renovated areas at the Castell de Montjuïc, the Casa de l'Aigua, and Fabra i Coats. The Reial Monestir de Santa Maria de Pedralbes opened its doors specifically for its 700th anniversary celebration.
