Barcelona will host the 28th International Logistics Exhibition, SIL Barcelona 2026, from 3 to 5 June at Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc venue. The fair will focus on intelligent solutions, artificial intelligence, automation and the shortage of truck drivers.
The event is organised by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB). It has a budget of about two million euros and organisers expect an economic impact of 50 million euros on Barcelona. Pere Navarro, executive president of the CZFB and SIL president, said logistics has become an essential part of economic activity. Blanca Sorigué, director general of the CZFB and the exhibition, said companies and consumers now want faster, more precise and more resilient supply chains.
The theme for 2026 is “Intelligent solutions that move the world”. More than 600 companies and nearly 80 startups are expected to take part. The event will also focus on sustainability and the sector’s response to geopolitical uncertainty. Barcelona is aiming to strengthen its position in smart logistics, while also consolidating its place as Europe’s fourth city for startups.
This year’s edition will present more than 160 new products and services. These include AI reasoning tools for logistics decisions, AI tools for human capital in road transport, artificial vision systems in cranes, fully electric loading docks, energy communities in logistics parks, intralogistics robots, automated measurement systems for bulky goods and sustainable pallets. A jury of specialist journalists will choose the Best SIL 2026 Innovation Award on 4 June.
The SIL Lab and IA Corner will also be expanded, with content sessions, success stories, workshops and live demonstrations. The SIL Lab will host the Digital Supply Chain Exhibition, which will cover planning, procurement, production, delivery and reverse logistics. Seventeen technology brands will take part. SIL will again use SILvIA, its own artificial intelligence tool, which organisers say is the only logistics exhibition in the world with this kind of application. It helps visitors plan their trip and organise meetings through the SIL Platform. AI is also being used to address the shortage of truck drivers, with investment growing in autonomous vehicles and advanced driving systems. Organisers say automation is now a necessity, not just an efficiency gain, because it helps keep services running.
The fair will also keep its focus on jobs through the Job Market Place, organised by Barcelona Activa, where final interviews for logistics roles will take place. Organisers say many visitors use the event to find work or change careers. The programme will include more than 250 speakers across seven content areas, with international experts discussing geopolitics, the new trade order and the impact of global tensions on supply chains.
