Barcelona transport operator Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) closed its Month of Diversity with an interactive theatre performance at Universitat metro station.
The play, La Sala d'Espera (The Waiting Room), was staged in the station lobby by the Acto Seguido theatre company. It was designed to encourage reflection on inclusion among people passing through one of central Barcelona's busiest metro hubs.
TMB says the Month of Diversity is an annual programme that promotes a more inclusive and equitable working environment and public service across its transport network.
The performance brought the message into a daily setting, with actors involving passengers in scenes about diversity and social integration. That format turned a routine metro stop into a space for public participation rather than passive viewing.
Universitat station sits on the L2 line and connects a key part of the city centre with the Eixample district. For more on TMB's own coverage of the event, see the original report from TMB Notícies.
