K-Pop supergroup Twice concluded its temporary merchandise store in Barcelona's historic El Born district today, drawing fans ahead of their 'This is for' world tour concert. The Seoul Store hosted the pop-up, which offered exclusive tour-themed items and special photo cards.

The temporary shop operated from 11:00 to 20:00, providing a physical hub for fans to purchase personalised t-shirts and hand bags featuring the tour logo. A 'Lucky Draw' vending machine also dispensed unique photo cards, a popular collectible within K-Pop culture. Fans unable to visit the pop-up can still buy these products through the group's official website.

Barcelona marks the first European stop for the nine-member group on their 'This is for' world tour, which they announced in June. Following their performance in the Catalan capital, Twice will continue their European leg, visiting France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

Twice's Global Tour Success

This tour follows their highly successful 'Ready to be' tour, which made Twice the first female K-Pop group to headline stadium shows in North America. That tour included two sold-out nights in Los Angeles, gathering over 1.5 million fans across 51 concerts in 27 cities, according to Ticketmaster. The 'Ready to be' tour took its name from the group's fourth album, which topped the Billboard Top 10 charts.

K-Pop's Growing Influence in Barcelona

The nine members, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu, have established themselves as a global pop force. In 2023, they received the Breakthrough Award at the Billboard Women in Music event, becoming the first K-Pop group to earn this recognition. The pop-up store's location in El Born, a historic district known for its vibrant shopping and cultural scene, offered an accessible spot for fans. This area, popular with both locals and international visitors, frequently hosts temporary retail experiences and cultural events.

As Twice continues its European tour, the success of their Barcelona pop-up and concert shows the strong global reach of K-Pop. This event also reinforces Barcelona's position on the international entertainment map.
